VACUUM THERAPY

WHAT IS VACUUM THERAPY?

Vacuum therapy is a non-invasive massage technique that helps lift the skin through a mechanical device equipped with suction cups.

While it originally entered the market during the 1970s as a way to help treat burn scars, this treatment has evolved into a non-surgical butt lift method. Some studies have also looked at the therapy as a way to close skin ulcers.

Vacuum therapy is also known as vacuum therapy and depressor massage. In addition to supposedly offering similar effects to a surgical butt lift, the procedure is also sometimes used to mimic a traditional breast lift.

Certain forms of vacuum therapy are also used for the treatment of cellulite.

One such therapy is known as Endermologie, which was the first FDA-approved treatment of its kind. It works by reducing swelling in the affected skin to help diminish the appearance of cellulite dimples.

IS VACUUM THERAPY SAFE?

Vacuum therapy is a non-invasive procedure, so you can expect few to no side effects. However, you may feel slight pain and tightness after the procedure.

Mild swelling may also occur.

HOW DO CUPPING HELP CELLULITE?

Cellulite cupping works by stimulating circulation and promoting the detoxification process, a technique similar to body brushing, but on a deeper level. As the cups glide over the body, they draw the skin into a vacuum, activating circulation and breaking down fatty deposits that can cause dimpling of the skin.

RESULTS AREN’T PERMANENT

Once you stop going for vacuum therapy treatments, your skin will likely go back to the way it was before.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE EFFECT OF VACUUM THERAPY TO WEAR OFF?

After the initial six to ten sessions, the results of vacuum therapy can be maintained for several years with monthly sessions.

DO YOU NEED ANESTHESIA DURING VACUUM THERAPY?

Vacuum therapy does not involve surgery and anesthesia is not needed.

HOW DOES VACUUM THERAPY FEEL?

Vacuum therapy uses suction and mechanical massage. Although this treatment is not painful, you may feel some stretching or “pulling” sensations during the session.
